Have you discovered Minted? It’s an online store that offers a fresh take on business cards, stationery, invitations, calendars and more. I’m in the market for new business cards and the sheer number of style choices Minted offers is amazing. I’m looking for a creative way to feature my blog information on a new business card and Minted offers such a variety of clever takes on a business card that I’m having a difficult time narrowing down my choice to just one design. The company’s indie graphic designers have come up with so many options, from traditional and chic to casual and funky. So I’m still working out what my final choice will be!
But Minted isn’t just about business cards. My daughter Victoria, a young college professional, has been on the hunt for personalized stationery that reflects her design esthetic. Attracted by the business cards designs she saw me pondering on my computer screen, she reached over and clicked to Minted’s stationery options. Within minutes she’d narrowed her choice down. And within a few clicks she had a mockup of her perfect stationery on screen: light blue paper, black ink, a stylized initial and her name printed out just below. She smiled and looked at me. I know how important it is to have personalized stationery for those times when a hand-written note is the best choice of communication. So we ordered the stationery.
Within a week a Minted box arrived at our home. Victoria opened the well-padded shipping box and opened the box that contained her first personalized stationery. She felt the heavy card stock and smiled. She ran her finger over the stylized “V is for Victoria” ink. Then she sat down and wrote her first note on her new stationery. I agree with my daughter that the card stock is fine, the ink is bright and the design is top notch.
And we love how Minted works with graphic designers: Through Minted’s monthly design challenges the company discovers, then features unique designs from indie graphic designers. This means that fresh designs are always being added.
When you visit Minted’s site, make sure you check out the company blog. On it you can find easy DIY projects like a reversible cardboard necklace for kids, many party theme ideas, and wedding/outdoor party inspirational ideas.
Disclosure: Minted provided and shipped the personalized stationery for our review. No request to share any particular point of view was made. All opinions expressed herein are strictly those of my daughter and me.
