At the end of a day do you end up with mascara everywhere but on your eyelashes? I do. I have yet to find a mascara that stays on my eyelashes; the darned stuff always migrates to the skin above and below my eyes, and looking like a raccoon isn’t my best look. But hope springs eternal in my heart. Two mascaras, at two different price points, mentioned in the February 2013 issue of Allure magazine sound like they might actually stay on my eyelashes where they belong.
The first, Trish McEvoy High Volume mascara, is a higher price point and comes recommended by Marla Beck, co-founder of Bluemercury.com, a leading luxury beauty retailer that offers the best cosmetics, skin care, makeup, perfume, hair, and bath & body products. Ms. Beck says, “It never smudges…”
The second, Revlon ColorStay Overtime Lengthening mascara, is a lower price pint and comes recommended by Catherine Q. O’Neill, assistant editor at Allure magazine. Ms. O’Neill says, “…You’ll need a good eye-makeup remover.” That tells me the mascara should stay put, no?
Have you worn either? Did it stay on your eyelashes or migrate to your skin?
