The Dreamiest Shower Ever!

Have you ever seen one of these?

A delightful surprise at the Hyatt in Miami, FL.

Or better yet … do you have one in your shower? I call them rain shower shower heads, although many folks refer to them as waterfall shower heads. It is the dreamiest shower head ever. When we built our house I wanted a rain shower head installed in the master bathroom, but my husband Mike resisted.

“It’s the mother of all shower heads,” I said. “I’ll feel like I’m on vacation every time I take a shower.”

“It’s a water hog,” he replied.

“I know.”

But I knew in my heart that I was missing the. best. shower. ever.

Do you remember when we were chased out of Key West by Hurricane Isaac in August?

Our little rental car rocked and rolled as we drove north on US 1, across the 7-mile bridge and into Miami. At the Hyatt in Miami our bathroom was outfitted with a TV, jet tub, huge mirrors, extremely fluffy towels and a rain shower head in the shower area.

It also had this:

You can set the water at an exact temperature.

which I’d never seen before. Have you?

I practically ran into the shower. As the water gently soaked my hair the threat of Hurricane Isaac receded. Everything receded, except the warm curtain of water that surrounded me.  And the soap? It smelled like frangipani, which meant I was in Hawaii again. With an orchid tucked behind my ear.

It really is the shower head of my dreams. Or else I need some serious therapy.

You do need therapy – hydrotherapy. So funny you mention the “rain shower head” as I took a steamy shower last evening with one. My first time and it was quite enjoyable. Can’t wait to jump in there again!

Shower heads and showers in general are definitely important in my book! I mean you do spend a decent portion of your life in them 🙂
